Evan Vonada & Lucas Hayman

Memorial Grants

In my opinion there is no better way to raise children than raising them in the agriculture industry and showing livestock.  The world of livestock showing teaches young individuals a multitude of responsibility and helps them build character traits most young people don’t learn until they are well into adulthood if they ever learn them at all.  Livestock kids learn work ethic, responsibility, gratitude, and many other things.  But most importantly to me is; livestock kids build relationships that impact each other as well as the adults they interact with.  Our Livestock community has lost 2 awesome individuals from the here and now way before their time was due; God has a plan and he needed Evan and Lucas in heaven more than we did in this life.  These Memorial Grants are a way to pay homage to their life and the legacy they have left for us to remember and appreciate.  They may be gone from this life in body, but they will never be gone from this life in spirit.  I am eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to watch these two young men grow up right in front of my eyes over the many years they competed week in and week out against my daughter.
